How we collect, use, and protect your data.

We collect information you provide: email, display name, bio, location, profile photos, portfolio links, and genre preferences. If you connect OAuth providers (Google, Spotify, Apple), we receive your email and basic profile info. Payment information is processed by Stripe — we do not store card details.

We integrate with: Spotify (profile verification and track import), Google (authentication), Apple (authentication), and Stripe (payment processing). Each service has its own privacy policy.
Data is stored in PostgreSQL with encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Sessions use short-lived JWT tokens (15 minutes) with rotating refresh tokens. All traffic uses HTTPS.
We use a secure HTTP-only cookie for refresh tokens on web. On mobile, tokens are stored in the device's secure storage. We do not use tracking cookies.
Push notifications are opt-in. You can unsubscribe at any time through your device settings or the app.

Active accounts: data is kept as long as your account exists. Deleted accounts: all data is permanently removed immediately upon deletion.
MusiConnect is only available to users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

By creating an account on MusiConnect, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years old to use MusiConnect. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
You must provide accurate information during registration. All accounts are subject to manual review and approval by our team. We reserve the right to reject or suspend any account.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant MusiConnect a license to display it on the platform. We may remove content that violates these terms.
Messaging is only available between connected users. Connection requests and messages are rate-limited. Abuse of the messaging system may result in account suspension.
Bookings are agreements between users. MusiConnect facilitates payments through Stripe. A platform fee of 10% applies to all transactions. Refund policies are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or bullying.
This is a professional network. Keep conversations music-related and constructive.
Don't send unsolicited promotions, mass messages, or repetitive connection requests.
Don't share others' private information, messages, or content without permission.
Only share music, beats, and content that you own or have rights to use.
If you see someone breaking the rules, report them. Help keep the community safe.
Violations may result in profile rejection, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity.

After registering and verifying your email, our team manually reviews every profile. This usually takes less than 24 hours. You can also get instant verification by connecting your Spotify account or requesting backing from a verified artist.
Profiles may be rejected if they appear incomplete, contain inappropriate content, or look like spam. Check the rejection note in your dashboard and update your profile accordingly.
Send a connection request to another user. Once they accept, you can message each other. Both users must be approved to send connection requests.
Yes. Messages are only visible to the two users in the conversation. Messages are rate-limited to 60 per hour to prevent spam.
If a user has set their hourly rate and availability, you can book a session with them. Payments are processed through Stripe. A 10% platform fee applies.
Connect your Spotify account to get automatically verified. Alternatively, request backing from a verified artist — once they approve, you're verified.
Verified users can generate invite codes to share with others. Users who register with an invite code get priority in the review process.
Go to Edit Profile → Data & Privacy → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data and cannot be undone.
Visit their profile and tap the Report button. Select a reason and our team will review the report.
Visit their profile and tap the Block button. Blocked users cannot contact you or see your profile.
